2020 GAE Day at the Capitol

February 20th
8am to 3pm

Registration is now open to attend our 2020 GAE Day at the Capitol. It will take place from 8:00am - 3:00pm in the Empire Room on the 20th floor of the Sloppy Floyd Building, West Tower, located at 200 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta.  If you are interested in taking on a greater role in advocacy around public education issues impacting our state, we need you there.

A GAE Election is taking place now through 9 p.m., February 15, 2020

The election is for GAE Retired Delegates to the GAE RA. All GAE Retired members are eligible to vote in this election.   Beginning this year, we are using an outside vendor, Election-America, to conduct our online elections.  You should be receiving an email from them on voting specifics.  The email is legitimate.  You can also access the voting information by clicking on the GAE Online Elections icon.  This will take you to Elections-America to vote.  This is your chance to have a say in YOUR Association!  VOTE!

GAE Lawsuit Challenges Atlanta Turnaround Plan

“In August, the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE), Atlanta Association of Educators, and individual employees, filed suit in Fulton County Superior Court against the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) for noncompliance with the state’s Charter School Act (CSA),” said GAE President Dr. Sid Chapman.
