GAE Aspiring Educators

We believe that when future teachers unite, organize, and speak out, we can reshape education together. We don’t just provide liability insurance. We build member-led power.

What is the GAE Aspiring Educator Program?

GAE Aspiring Educators is Georgia’s union for future public-school teachers. We’re more than benefits; we’re a statewide student-led movement building power in every campus and community.

We believe future educators should have a say in the profession they’re entering. That’s why we organize, advocate, and act together. That's why we are free for college students to join.

What do we offer?

Other groups offer liability insurance and call it a day. We build power. GAE is part of a statewide and national union movement. That means you don’t just get liability protection; you get a voice.

Whether you're fighting for paid student teaching, the ability to honestly teach history, or respect on campus, we give you tools, training, and community to make change.

Fight for Paid Student Teaching

Currently, student teaching is an unpaid internship for 40+ hours a week and is a huge barrier for most candidates. We want to fight to see clinical preparation not as an individual hurdle, but as a necessary and strategic investment in a stable, well-prepared teacher workforce.
