Professional Excellence
The Georgia Association of Educators is committed to promoting excellence in public education. As a GAE member, you gain access to an array of professional development tools for you to invest in yourself and your career.
Browse the pages below to learn more about the professional development opportunities available to you through GAE and through NEA.

Professional Development

Exciting things are in the works for GAE members from GAE's Instructional and Professional Development department for the 2023-2024 school year! Please monitor this website, KNOW magazine, as well as the GAEVoices e-newsletter, for upcoming PD offerings!

GAE Rights at Night Seminars

Rights at Night is a direct result of members' questions. It was decided that in order to keep members informed, GAE would conduct periodic Zoom meetings on topics of interest to the membership.

Register for Our GACE Workshops

These computer-delivered assessments have been developed by the GaPSC and Educational Testing Service (ETS). The purpose of the GACE assessments is to help the GaPSC ensure that candidates have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job of an educator in Georgia's public schools, and GAE has a monthly webinar on the Third Saturday of Every Month that you can register for below!

Board Candidate Support

Thinking of running for office? As an educator and union member, you’ve shown your commitment to doing everything you can to improve outcomes for your students. Imagine your potential impact as an elected official, where you could leverage your passion, experience, and insights to improve public education on a larger scale.

NEA Microcredentials

Micro-credentials are a digital form of certification indicating demonstrated competency or mastery in a specific skill or set of skills. To earn micro-credentials, educators identify competencies they want to master and complete the requirements to earn them. These are free to GAE members.

Our working environments are students' learning environments, which makes it so important that teachers and support staff are less stressed and more prepared to pour into our students.
