GAE 2026 Part Time Organizer Program

The Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) is seeking passionate, reliable current members to serve as Member Organizers in their local communities. Member Organizers will work up to 5 hours per week at $20/hour, outside of school hours, to help strengthen our union by recruiting new members, identifying emerging leaders, and supporting local association efforts. This program would take place over the course of the summer and the upcoming 26-27 school year. Please note, that this is less a job, and more of a "earn as you learn" model of training up future leaders and activists within our union.

This is a flexible organizing position ideal for educators who believe in the power of collective voice and want to build union strength from the ground up.

This form must be completed by deadline of May 30th, and all applicants must complete an application to be considered. A mandatory training will be held on June 15 - 16 at GAE HQ in Tucker, Georgia and a schedule can be found here. Each application will be scored using an objective rubric, as well as feedback from local leaders and staff organizers. We only have 29-member organizer spots, so please do not get discouraged if you are not selected in this round, as there will always be opportunities for those who want to be involved.
